What I covered

Photograph the clothes and the choreography together.

Zurich Fashion Week at ICON mixed retro swing looks, partner choreography, solo runway walks, and more contemporary styling. I photographed both the clothes and the movement that made the show different.

The event was organized by Trailblazer Queen Productions. I moved between partner moments, motion frames, and solo portraits so the final set reflected the show instead of repeating the same runway pose.

Metallic Afterglow at Zürich, Switzerland

Metallic Afterglow

A favorite from the ICON set: direct gaze, strong body line, and a metallic look against the green ambient light.

The Dip at Zürich, Switzerland

The Dip

A partner moment where the choreography, expressions, and garment shape all hit together.

Blue Swing at Zürich, Switzerland

Blue Swing

The blue dress opens up while the partner movement stays clear.

Polka Motion at Zürich, Switzerland

Polka Motion

The skirt hits full extension in this polka-dot motion frame.

Pink Swing at Zürich, Switzerland

Pink Swing

Color, symmetry, and the lifted skirt give this frame its retro feel.

Paired Retro Line at Zürich, Switzerland

Paired Retro Line

A paired frame that shows how the retro looks work together.

Gold Embellishment at Zürich, Switzerland

Gold Embellishment

A solo look with beading, texture, and a more contemporary silhouette.

Striped Color at Zürich, Switzerland

Striped Color

Purple, orange, and black stripes close the set with a big color shift.

Photograph the choreography too

When the show uses partner work and dance, I’m looking for the instant the pose, garment, and interaction all make sense together.

Use the motion

Swing skirts and turns look best when the shutter lands at full extension instead of catching random blur.

Use the room’s color

ICON’s green ambient light gives the set its own look, while the model and garment stay the focus.
